HIS GIFT OF ABUNDANT LIFE FROM ABOVE
John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.
Yesterday, we looked at a thrilling topic, "Love from above is life from above", and I believe we have been blessed by the word of God. Today I want us to delve into the kind of life God gave to man from above.
In the beginning, when God created man and placed him in the garden of Eden, He gave man a command to not eat a particular fruit. After man disobeyed God, He drove him out of the garden for the fear that man might decide to also eat of the TREE OF LIFE.
Genesis 6:22 then the Lord said, "Behold, the man has become like one of us in knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand and take also of the TREE OF LIFE and eat, and live forever-"
So we see from the above text that man became prone to death the very moment he sinned.
Romans 6:23 for the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.
Hell, you and I must know was created for the rebellious satan and his fallen angels. But satan knowing the place of man in the kingdom of God and being smart and cunning as bible describes him, was able to deceive Eve and Adam into disobeying God and stole their birthright from them.
He Satan is a thief. He came and stole that which belonged to our great grandparents which made us also become prone to death. Oh god! This devil, after robbing us of our birthright, gathered confidence and was determined to kill us and finally destroy us from enjoying everlasting life. He wanted to wipe man out of the earth.
But I have a message for you today. Oh yes, a message from above! When Jesus Christ came, He came with a mission, to restore unto us the very life that Satan stole from us; to resurrect us from the dead and save us from eternal destruction. Hallelujah!!
His gift for us today is a gift our parents, siblings, families and friends cannot give unto us. Brethren, let us seek Jesus Christ and make Him our Lord and saviour so that we may receive of His gift of life.
He said, "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly".
Let us run after the abundant (eternal) life from Jesus Christ which is the free gift of God to us.
I remember a preacher man said, "When I give you a gift and you decide not to accept it, it isn't yours. Even though it was meant for you, you would have to accept it to own it.
Brethren, let us accept this gift with all eagerness and enjoy in the everlasting life that God purposed for us from the very beginning of His creation.
Prayer: Lord I thank you for your gift of abundant life in Jesus Christ. I accept and confess Him as my Lord and saviour. I surrender myself unto you. Write my name in the book of lifeand come into my life that I may live forever. Amen.

LOVE FROM ABOVE IS LIFE FROM ABOVE
John 3:16 for God so loved the world, that He gave His only son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
Brethren today I would want us to take a very critical look at our introductory text which I believe is very known to all of us christians unless you never attended Sunday School - Kids Sunday Service. It's a text which is very pregnant with a lot of revelations, most of which we have not even thought of.
Bible says, "For God so loved the world...". First, I want you to understand that God created the world, and it is a natural thing for Him to love that which was created by Him. That's why a mother will love her child even if the child has gone wayward, that mother still love that child. That's why she will keep praying for God to save her child. That is natural love.
Also, He created us in His image. "Genesis 1 : 27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him;...". So, for God to have created man in His own image and then sit back and watch man perish, is like He sitting unconcerned while His Self is being ripped apart which can never be possible.
Now, back to the continuaton of the introductory text, "He gave His only son". Someone may say that, why would God give His only son which somehow contradicts the fact that He - God, doesn't want us to perish, so why should His only son perish? The answer is simple. God is life and Jesus Christ being God himself - The Trinity, also has everlasting life which he demonstrated on the third day after His death. He rose from the dead!
"John 10 : 17 - 18 for this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it again. No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father". Glory hallelujah!
Remember that when God formed man from dust, He breathed His breath which was life into him and man became a living creature. Genesis 2 : 7 then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and he became a living creature. That is the life from above.
Our final phrase from the introductory text says, "...that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life". We have been given the chance to make a choice. Is this not unconditional love? Even though He created us, He still deem it fit not to impose His will on us, but rather we make our own choices. The only thing He did was to tell us that in making our choice, it is best for us to choose life. "
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offsprings may live".
Brethren, this is how much the Father loved you and I. A love from above full of life indeed. "John 3:31 He who comes from above is above all. He who is of the earth belongs to the earth and speaks in an earthly way. He who comes from heaven is above all".
Remember that Jesus Christ came from heaven to die on the cross for us to have the heavenly life. Make the right choice today.
Prayer: thank you Lord for loving me unconditionally. Thank you for letting me know what choice is best for me. Holy Spirit help me to abide by the conditions of the right choice so that I may have eternal life. Amen.

KEEPING OUR MIND ON GOD
Isaiah 26:3 ESV
You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
Beloved, i bring you greetings from the Royal Family Ministries. We trust today is going to be as great as our father - God Almighty - has ordained it to be.
Our text for today gives us insight into what God does for those whose mind is stayed on Him. Also, we are made to understand that, our mind is focused on Him because we trust Him.
In a scenario of a relationship, you keep your mind on your partner because you trust that you guys will become spouse in the future. Also, you confide in your friend because you trust that he or she will keep your secrets.
Now, my question to you is, "Who is your mind on?" God who is a spirit, or man who is flesh? The former who created the latter, or the latter who was created from dust by the former? Heavenly glory or the vanities of this world? I believe we will all want to say the former, but you and I know that sincerely, that would have been a lie.
Romans 7:23 ESV
But I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members.
From the above text, we see clearly how apostle Paul described our flesh waging war against our mind. Pushing us to focus our mind on the things we see - wealth, beauty, position, relations, lust, etc. rather than focusing our minds on God and trusting Him. Brethren, it's very true. We find ourselves committing these sins over and over and over again.
But, I am here to tell you that, there is a way out. We can indeed keep our mind on God and trust Him. We can stop committing this sin once and for all.
Romans 12:2 ESV
Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
We are been entreated by apostle Paul, to not conform to this world. But renew our minds by testing so that we may discern***
How can we discern? We can discern through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. Brethren, we can not focus our mind on God by our strength but, through the help of the Holy Spirit. We can not fight the things of the spirit with the things of the flesh as stated in 2 Corinthians 10:3-4 ESV
For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds.
I pray for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in us, so that we will keep our minds only on God and see the accomplishments of His perfect will which is perfect peace in our lives. Amen!

REVERING GOD OUR CREATOR
Psalm 111:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; A good understanding have all those who do His commandments; His praise endures forever.
Wow! In the book of Hosea 4:6, bible said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I reject you from being a priest to me. And since you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children”
What was it that Israel did not know, and why was that lack of knowledge so dangerous? They have rejected His word. They don't revere God so they decided not to obey His commands - His Laws. So we see clearly that the Israelites for lack of understanding, have placed themselves and even their own children under God's rejection. How is it possible that you reject your source and still want to survive. It is impossible!
Child of God, one thing I keep pondering over is the fact that, fear grips us whenever we see a soldier or policeman with a gun. And this thing mostly happens instinctively when we are doing the wrong thing.
The fact is that, the difference between this two characters (soldier and policeman), and us, is power and authority (gun and uniform). In exception of that, we are all the same ordinary human beings. So if we can revere our fellow mortals this much, then why can't we revere He that created us from dust? Bible says, He is omnipotent, omnipresent and omniscient. Do we even have to fear a personality of this caliber only when we are in the act of wrongdoing? Will it not be prudent that we revere God for the very fact that we are alive because of Him?
Deuteronomy 6:24 "So the LORD commanded us to observe all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God for our good always and for our survival, as it is today.
Our good depends on God. Our survival also depends on Him. Bible says in Romans 8:28, " And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
If you revere God, then you will automatically love Him. Remember that we were bought at a price and He called us for a purpose, so don't disappoint God for He creating you. On the day of fertilization, several sperms fought to fertilize that egg, but God chose you. It is for a purpose. Revere Him and enjoy the benefits thereof.
Prayer: Lord we thank you for your word. We also thank you for the fact that you chose us out of the lot. Help us to revere you now and always, for we cannot do it on our own. Grant unto us the ability and capability to revere you in the name of Jesus Christ and by the power of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

WHAT IS YOUR MOTIVE FOR SEEKING JESUS CHRIST?
John 6:24 When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.6:25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?6:26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
beloved, Bible says in John 6:24, the crowd, each person entered a boat and went seeking Jesus in Capernaum which we all know is a good thing to do, but we see in verse 26, that the motive was not to surrender to the son of God but rather to fill their bellies with perishable food.
Many at times, we find ourselves in this situation - seeking God only when we are in one problem or another, but God is saying that His anointing will not be prostituted in this days.
God is seeking those who have set themselves apart, sanctified, and ready to seek food that does not perish.
Question: are you seeking God for perishable things or everlasting things? John 10:10 says the devil comes but to steal, to kill and to destroy, but Jesus Christ came that we might have life and in abundance.
Glorrryyy! Life in abundance!!
Beloved, seek God because your life is in Him.
God bless you even as you have made a decision to seek Him for everlasting gain.
Prayer: Thank you father for your revelation unto us. Help us with your Holy Spirit so that we will seek you for who you are not for what we intend getting from you. Amen.
